The 2nd. Annual Fall Arts & Craft & Treasure Fair, sponsored by the Greater Madawaska Chamber of Commerce, will be November 3, 4, 1012, at the Madawaska Middle/High School Cafeteria, 7th Avenue, Madawasaka, Maine, Saturday November 3 from
10am-4pm and Sunday November 4 from 10am-4pm, admission $1.00 for adults. Bring your family and friends to ride with you on the grand tour of the St. John Valley River. In its 21st year, the Tour de la Vallee
promises to be a challenge for all riders. You can choose to ride a quarter century (25 miles), a half century (50 miles), a metric
century (100) miles. This is fully supported ride with rest stops abouy every ten miles. Each rest stop will be stocked with water.
beverages, fruit and other healthy snacks. Lunch will be served at some of the rest stops. Although bathroom facilities may not be
available at every stop, you will be informed of where you might find facilities along the route. Medical and mechanical assistance
will be available during the route. Someone will be available to give you a ride if you need one.
The Fundraiser: The Edgar J. (Guy) Paradis Cancer Fund (a service of Northern Main Medical Center), Fort Kent, Maine, is a
non profit venture the provides support services to families from the St. John Valley who have been afflicted with cancer.
How to Participate: Registration form to be completed with your $20.00 registration fee. We will send you a packet of information.
On Site registrations will be $25.00. Immedicate family members of three or more will have a combined fee of $50.00.

Acadian Festival

- The Acadian Festival is Maine's Largest Cultural Festival. Events include a re-enactment of the first Acadian landing in northern Maine, traditional Acadian supper, Soiree du bon Vieux Temps (Night of good old times), traditional cultural displays, Golf Tournament, Family Fun Day, a Festival parade, "Party du Main Street" and much more. The Festival is held each year in conjunction with a huge family reunion. The Family being honored for 2012 is the Talbot-Gervais Family. The Acadian Festival Office is located at 356 Main Street, with the Greater Madawaska Chamber of Commerce. Come in an visit us. We still have Cyr Family and Cyr Roots Souvenirs available at the Chamber.
Annual Acadia FCU Golf Scramble

- The 5th Annual Acadia FCU Golf Sramble
If Golf's your game we have the Tournament for you!! On June 23th The Acadia FCU Golf Scramble will take place at Long Lake Country Club. The event promises to be fun for all ages, with 18 Holes to play and many prizes to win.
In July there is Mom's Memorial Tournament.
In August there are the Club Championship and Senior Championship Tournaments - with prizes to be won in all Tournaments.

- "Gallery to show Acadian hanscrafts for three month. MEET OUR COLORS", in the Greater Madawaska Chamber of Commerce office will preesent a display through February, March and April abouta Acadian history, local artists, and looking toward th future. Yester-years, "Today and Tomorrow" will feature demonstrations on handcrafts along with an opportunity to support groups making a difference in the Valley. Come in an see our crafters at work, different crafters everyday.

The Talbot- Gervais Family Reunion Committee met last year in Madawaska in prepartion for celebrating and honoring their ancestors and present family members. Genealogist Murielle (Nadeau) Deschaine has been working for two years preparing theTalbot-Gervais books. Charlene Gervais of St. David will be leading the group. Such events include a talent show, banquet, special Mass and many other events that will be posted as we get closer. Talbot-Gervais family souvenirs will be available as well as handcraft, local cusine and bilingual hospitality. Madawaska, the most northern town in the northeast, borders New Brunswick, Canada. Our French roots are still visible and intact due to the close proximity of many French communities in Canada. Come see the picturesque landscapes and breathtaking views of the St. John Valley at its best. A warm reception and friendly hospitality await you.

Madawaska 100 USCC Cross Country Race

This years Madawaska 100 USCC Cross Country Snowmobile Races is on Saturday, February 18th. The race will take palce on the
flats of Cyr and Albert Flats. This is a fun family event! Races begins at 10am they will register people from
8am. Pre-registration is recommended. Over 600 spectators attended last year and had a great time at this first
time event. We expect even more racers this year now that people know about it and what the races are.

Just a note to let you know that contrary to rumor, threre is snow in the St. John Valley and trails are beautiful! It might have taken a while
to find its way, but it's here! The area groomers are out on their regular schedules keeping the trails maintained. It's amazing what ou local clubs
have done with what we do have. Keep on dancin',more snow could never hurt, but don't hestitate.. get up here and RIDE

- During the month of July & August & September enjoy an evening of entertainment at Bi-Centennial Park. The weekly event sponsored by the Greater Madawaska Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Acadian Festival. The bands play from 6:00pm - 8pm. The Mission of the Music in the Park Series is to provide the general public with the resources to high quality products and wholesome family entertainment while instilling a sense of community togetherness. 2012 dates are July 5,12,19,26 August 2,16,23,30 Time is 6pm-8pm
- Labor Fest September 3 Time is 10am-7pm August 9, no Music in the Park because of the Acadian Festival

Prizes and giveaways throughout the weekend by various exhibitors. Food provided in the Food Court by various local organizations.
This year 2012, we have reduced the price per booth also we have a different floor plan for
